Senator Roger Wicker is supposed to be a conservative but his scorecard reveals otherwise. One of the best indicators is Mark Levin’s Conservative Review, which rates votes based on how those votes preserve or harm individual liberty.
For Roger Wicker, his score is an “F” coming in at a paltry 30. As of September 29, 2017, out of the top 50 votes over the past 6 years, Wicker has voted “liberal” 35 times.
In recent years, he has voted: against prohibiting earmarks, supported reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank, for an Internet sales tax, against reducing foreign aid, against reaffirming the 4th Amendment, for the fiscal cliff tax increase, for a 1,582 Omnibus spending bill, for the trillion dollar Farm Bill, for funding Obamacare, against declaring Obama’s executive amnesty unconstitutional, for expanded federal control of education, for Obama “fast track” trade authority for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, against term limits, for increased debt limit, and for funding Planned Parenthood.
In fact, of the top RINOs in the Senate, all have a higher liberty score than Roger Wicker:
John McCain (AZ), Mitch McConnell (KY), Orrin Hatch (UT), Lindsey Graham (SC), Jeff Flake (AZ), John Cornyn (TX), Richard Burr (NC), Bob Corker (TN), Shelly Capito (WV), and Tom Tillis (NC).
Roger Wicker is not a conservative and the wrong Republican for Mississippi.
