Taking their attack campaign to a new level, the Wicker camp has unveiled a new billboard strategy aimed at touting Trump’s endorsement of Wicker and Senator Chris McDaniel’s supposed anti-Trump comments. Wicker has placed five digital billboards in McDaniel’s Jones County (a huge waste of resources if you ask me), and set for more in North Mississippi and in Rankin County.
Here are the billboards in question:
The reason for these billboards is simple: Roger Wicker and his campaign won’t talk about issues. Thus far in his race against McDaniel, the Wicker “stink tank” operation is launching negative attack after negative attack. And why? Because he can’t talk about his own failed record after 24 years in Congress.
His record is nothing short of despicable: massive spending, debt, global free trade deals, open borders and immigrant workers, foreign adventurism, and a leadership position with Mitch McConnell.
Wicker knows that McDaniel is the consummate conservative with many accomplishments to his name. He can’t go toe-to-toe with McDaniel on conservatism so he’s grafting himself onto President Trump’s coattails. That’s his only play in this race.
It’s actually quite pathetic! Their tactic of smearing Senator McDaniel by taking one sentence out of a Facebook post and spinning it to look as though he called ALL Trump supporters “delusional” is nothing short of a bald-faced lie! We have thoroughly debunked that Wicker fib!
Roger Wicker won’t defend his record and he certainly won’t debate Chris McDaniel, which makes this race a near-carbon copy of 2014 – a true conservative reformer vs. a longstanding, desperate Establishment insider – and we will never forget their tactics.
We will Remember Mississippi!!
