As we reported earlier, Cindy Hyde-Smith supported Hillary Clinton for President of the United States in 2008, then lied to the people of Mississippi about it. As she told the Weekly Standard:
“You can leave a ballot blank, or you can vote for the third or fourth person on there that nobody knows… It was probably a no-name, but I still can’t remember who the no-name was. But it certainly wasn’t either one of them [Obama or Hillary]. Because you have so many folks who just, you know, their names on the ballot or you can have a write-in. That was, gosh, 10 years ago, and I have no idea what the name was.”
But according to former Democratic Party State Chair Rickey L. Cole, there was only one other name on the ballot – John Edwards – and in Cindy Hyde-Smith’s precinct, where she cast her ballot, only 3 people voted for Edwards. And Cole has already confirmed that Hyde-Smith supported Hillary.
