“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” So said George Orwell, author of the famous book, 1984. Today that seems to be well underway in the United States of America.
Once considered a bastion of freedom and an “empire of liberty,” we are now a nation in the clutches of “useful idiots,” Lenin’s supposed term for those gullible fools in the West who would blindly help usher in Communism and never realize what they’ve done, that is until it was too late.
Whether he or Comrade Stalin ever said such a thing matters not; what matters is the fact that we have “useful idiots” around every corner readily doing the bidding of those in power who seek the destruction of the American republic, as Orwell wrote, in order to wipe out our patriotic past to control our future. And one way they are doing that is by attempting to outlaw and ban political symbols, thereby censoring political speech.
Today there is an all-out assault on symbols of Southern history and heritage. New Orleans, led by Mayor Mitch Landrieu, brother of former US Senator Mary Landrieu, ordered four Confederate monuments taken down in the city, which is being carried out under the cover of night and by masked men, while leftwing fanatics denounce the Confederacy and Southern historical figures and Nazis as symbols of white supremacy (even though they are using the exact same tactics as Hitler’s Stormtroopers).
But our forbears saw this same song and dance in their day. American patriots in Boston, led by Sam Adams, formed a resistance group known as the Sons of Liberty to push back against British encroachment. And they had their own flag:
Yet it became such a hated symbol for the British in America that it was banned. So rather than lay down, the Sons of Liberty simply turned it around and flew a new one:
Today, flags are of particular interest to the Fascists on the Left that are trying to ban them or to shame those who fly them.
The revolutionary Gadsden Flag, known as the “Don’t Tread On Me” flag, has been in the crosshairs of the fanatics who claim it is a symbol of racism.
But the biggest one of all is the Confederate battle flag – the St. Andrews Cross with thirteen stars representing the states recognized by the Confederacy. Never mind the fact that the Confederate government never officially sanctioned this particular flag design, but that it was created by the troops and carried by them, or that the battle flag flew over battlefields and not slave quarters. It’s that this design hurts the feelings of the precious little snowflakes so it must go. The First Amendment be damned.
But consider why they hate the Confederate battle flag: It’s not because of slavery, no matter what they say. It’s because it represents the greatest rebellion to activist government in US history. THAT is why they hate it!
And, to make matters worse, there are now the craziest of these fanatics who are bent on banning the American flag as a racist symbol as well, simply because slavery was legal in the US long before the Confederacy ever existed.
Such ideas are pure lunacy carried out by lunatics on the political left. Yet they are trying to brand us as the lunatics (even though we don’t wear vagina hats, dress up in masks, burn cars, spray paint graffiti, and engage in violence and disruptive behavior at political rallies; and we don’t cry when we lose an election either!).
Think for a moment about how the Left refers to conservatives and rightwing ways of thinking? Xenophobia. Homophobia. Islamophobia. A phobia is a form of psychosis.
Why should this matter? Consider what these people really believe. They are the real tyrants and are using such methods to reform society to their way of thinking.
In the old Soviet Union under Comrade Stalin, anyone who spoke against communism and collectivism was sent not to the Gulag but to a psychiatric ward. Any thinking along those lines was considered psychotic. This is not a disputed truth but a fact of life for Soviet resisters.
After the “useful idiots” of today are done with symbols and monuments, will we be next? Let’s not give them the chance!
