A new poll just released by Change Research gives Chris McDaniel a lead over Cindy Hyde-Smith on election eve. Voting booths are set to open at 7 am tomorrow.
The survey found that Mike Espy was in the lead with 40 percent of the vote, McDaniel came in second with 28 percent, Hyde-Smith third with 27 percent, and Tobey Bartee with 1 percent.
If this poll holds true, Mike Espy and Chris McDaniel will head to a run-off election on November 27.
Just a reminder, the US Senate Special Election is based on a majority vote (50%+1) and is NOT based on a plurality (the most votes). There is no danger of “splitting” the Republican vote!
